door handles for a 1957 Ferrari Zagato - I was commissioned by Mike Kleeves of Automotive Metal Shaping to recreate the original Ferrari doorhandles for this rare Zagato. The original handles were damaged and accurate replacements are hard to come by. I modeled the handles in CAD and then CNC machined the components. The new handles are exact duplicates of the original only stronger since the originals were cast. The car pictured here is the fourth in a series of five 250 GT Ferraris built by Zagato. This is the first example without the “double bubble” roof line. This was also the first “Lusso” of the series, having been ordered by a wealthy amateur sportsman. I have included images of how the door handles function that are from a different car.
